I am committed to keeping your personal data safe and ensuring my policies are in line with the EU’s privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This law was created to create more transparency around how personal data is used and give you more control over this.
This privacy policy will explain how LS Nutrition uses the personal data collected from you when you use the website. This notice does not provide exhaustive detail. What data is collected?
For my newsletter:
I collect your name and email address. This is stored in the newsletter creation website that I use for my marketing campaigns.
For potential or current clients:
- Basic details such as name, address, contact details.
- >Details of contact we have had with you such as referrals and appointment requests
- Health information including previous medical history, dietary, lifestyle, supplement, medicine details, clinic notes and health plans.
- GP contact information
- Bank details
This information is collected through my online forms, during a nutrition consultation (online or in person), from my pre-consultation questionnaire, online payments, emails and post.
How will your data be used?
Newsletter
I will contact you via email about recipes, nutrition information and any offers. You are able to unsubscribe from these emails using the link that is included in every email.
Potential and current clients
I will use this information to contact you directly and provide you with direct healthcare.
Following completion of your healthcare with LS Nutrition, I will retain your personal data for a period defined by AfN, my professional body. This enables me to process any complaint you may make.
Will I share your information with other organisations?
I will only disclose your information with other third parties with your express consent with the exception of the following categories of third parties:
- My registrant body, AfN, for the processing of a complaint made by you
- Anyone to whom I may transfer our rights and duties under any agreement we have with you
- Any legal or crime prevention agencies and/or to satisfy any regulatory request (eg, AfN) if I have a duty to do so or if the law commands me to do so
I will seek your express consent before sharing your information with your GP or other healthcare providers. However, if I believe that your life is in danger then I may pass your information onto an appropriate authority (such as the police, social services in the case of a child or vulnerable adult, or GP in case of self-harm) using the legal basis of vital interests.
I may share your case history in an anonymised form with peers for the purpose of professional development. This may be at clinical supervision meetings or online forums.

This website does not make use of cookies to collect any private or personally identifiable information. Cookies aid the proper technical functioning of the website and generally help to provide a better user experience of the site. They are used to retain user preferences and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics.

Analytics
I use analytics software in order to help me understand the trends in popularity of the website and of different sections. I make no use of personally identifiable information in any of the statistical reports used from this package. I use an analytics package called Google Analytics who provide details of their privacy policy on the Google website.
